NCDEX Market Updates


Mentha oil rules up Rs 15-30 in spot


Mentha oil offered up Rs 15-30 a kg in different spot markets on Friday. Buying is stopped at higher prices. Meanwhile, mentha oil futures also traded up on buying support. Mentha oil production may increase by 20 per cent and may be around 55,000-60,000 tons.

In Rampur, mentha oil (68 GLC) quoted at Rs 1,082 per kg, in Chandausi Rs 1,090 per kg, in Sambhal at Rs 1,095 a kg, in Barabanki at Rs 1,060 a kg. 

Meanwhile, MCX mentha oil June futures traded up Rs 26 at Rs 992 per kg. Volumes reported around 3,044 lots. July futures traded up Rs 24 at Rs 991 per kg. Volumes stood 763 lots. 

On 6th June, total stock of mentha oil at MCX-monitored warehouses at Chandausi was 2, 157 kg of which 2, 157 kg was physical stock and demat stock was nil. At Barabanki, the total stock was 2, 59, 192 kg of which, physical stock accounted for 2, 59, 192 and demat stock --kg.

Chana quoted steady at all Markets


Desi chana almost steady at Indore mandi of MP on thin physical demand alongwith remained steady at major trading centers of Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, MP, and other mandis of Maharashtra , while marginal down at akola mandi of Maharashtra  .

At Mumbai, Australia chana offered unmoved at Rs 3,300 per quintal on poor demand from millers.

Russia chana offered also steady at  Rs 3,300 per quintal on thin  demand at Mumbai pulses market.


At Delhi , Desi chana of both Mp and Rajasthan up by Rs 25 a quintal  at  Rs 3,300 -3,325 per quintal on fresh demand  from millers

At Kolkotta , Australia chana offered up by Rs 25 a quintal  at  Rs 3,525 per quintal on thin  demand from millers.

Turmeric slips in spot


Traders said that export as well as local demand was weak. Prices may come under in coming days as stockists have 500,000 bags of stocks, while farmers have 2.5 million bags of turmeric.

Turmeric finger priced at Rs. 7,000 per quintal in Erode, root variety quoted at Rs 5,500 salem per quintal, Salem finger at Rs 8,500 per quintal and Salem root at Rs 7,200 per quintal. Arrivals stood at 4,000 bags.

New unpolished finger variety offered at Rs 5,900 per quintal and gatta at Rs. 5,600 per quintal in Nizamabad. Trade of 2,500 bags was reported in Nizamabad.

At Sangli, New rajapuri powder quality was available at Rs. 7,300-7,700 per quintal, rajapuri powder medium quality at Rs. 8,500-8,800 per quintal and desi kaddapa at Rs. 6,500-6,800 per quintal. Trade of 2,500 bags reported in Sangli.
